Powerlifting has become the major passion of mine since starting 6 years ago. I knew it was more than just a hobby and wanted to fully embrace coaching others, who are as invested in the sport as I am. I have privately coached and trained people from all walks of life and experienced the saying first hand, “everyone is different” in a sense that is specific to powerlifting. The last 4 years of experience has only bolstered that passion for helping others.

My goal with Forged Powerlifting is to provide the athlete with not only an effective programme, but the reasonings to understand the PURPOSE of each decision. With this, alongside unwavering communication, we see the continued development of both physical ability and powerlifting knowledge.

These were the intricacies that helped me understand why each aspect of training was working or not working. However, these details can sometimes be difficult to see or understand.

It was important to me that the session plans, surrounding information and necessary resources were easily accessible. After personal experiences of confusing programmes and scouring the internet for answers this became a big focus in the client experience.

Thanks to technology, we are able to have a fluid client interface alongside a library of information, that can be accessed wherever you may be.

The name “Forged” was thrown out one day whilst training with a friend and managed to stick. In a literal sense, forging something isn’t easy. It takes time, patience, precision and many other qualities that translate into the final product.

Showing up to the gym, eating well, resting, moving your body and committing to learning represents these same qualities, and that’s what Forged powerlifting is about. After all, there’s more to progression than just weight on the bar.

I’m a big fan of tracking daily habits, recording what went well and what needs improving. This allows us to hone in on the ‘smaller’ stuff that all comes together to increase performance.

All in all, I think the name fits.
